Cybersecurity terms - Credential stuffing
Credential stuffing is when a criminal uses credentials that have been leaked via previous data breaches to attempt to access other accounts held by those users. The criminals will be successful if someone has re-used those credentials across different accounts. This is one reason why passwords need to be unique for each account.
