Cybersecurity terms - XSS
Updated: Mar 23
Cross site scripting (XSS) is where malicious code is injected into legitimate, but vulnerable, websites to deliver malware to the browser of visitors to the site, or to deface the site it has exploited.
XSS makes the web site or web application the vector for the malware and tends to exploit websites where there is user input such as in message boards, comments pages, or forums.
